The New Normal Workplace

June 17, 2020
4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

ZOOM Video Conference

We will address employers’ pressing legal concerns and business goals about reopening, rehiring, and returning employees to the workplace, with an eye to best practices to avoid litigation. We will address questions such as:

  • What safety and legal issues should you review and consider as workers physically return to the workplace?
  • What steps should be taken to ensure the workplace feels safe?  What changes to your company infrastructure should you implement?  One idea we will discuss is the creation of a Chief Safety Officer and/or Safety Committee to review and implement constantly changing legal and administrative guidance.
  • What are the legal considerations in rehiring workers and in rebuilding your staff? For example, how can you protect yourself when deciding who gets to come back from a furlough?
  • What should companies do if employees haven’t or don’t want to come back to work, either because of safety concerns or because they’re getting paid a lot on unemployment?
  • Can, or should, you be taking employees’ temperatures? Or requiring COVID-19 testing?

This event is free for Members and Non-Members.
